St. Matthew Parish Festival
St. Matthew Festival Update (Submitted by Jim Guyor):
All systems are go, as we move ahead with plans for the 12 Noon – 2:30 PM August 24th St. Matthew Festival. We are planning to have Silent, Live, and Online Auctions in addition to Ma and Brother Bill’s Polish Dinner, Live Music, a $4,000 Cash Raffle, 50-50 Heads or Tails Game, and Free Children’s Games.
Raffle tickets can no longer be sent to you by mail, so they are available to pick up and return before and after the 5 PM and 11 AM masses each weekend, or by stopping at the church office Monday–Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM. The cash raffle is a major source of income for the festival, so we are hoping parishioners will pick up their tickets and sell/buy them.
Auction donations have been received from: Home Depot, Petoskey; True Pest Control; Boyne Co-op True Value; Polish Kitchen; Royal Thai; Bob Mathers Ford; Jordan Valley Glassworks; Chateau Chantal, Traverse City; Stanley Steemer, Traverse City; Mackinac State Historic Parks; an Anonymous Parishioner; and Patty Burke. Platinum Sponsorships have been received from an Anonymous Parishioner and Knight of Columbus, Council 6314. Gold Sponsorships have been received from Mark Patrick State Farm Insurance and Pat O’Brien and Associates.
Parishioners are encouraged to drop off auction donations of services or new goods and cash sponsorships at the church office. All questions or comments can be directed to Jim Guyor, Festival Chair, at 586-713-2525 or jaguyor@yahoo.com.
