The Jubilee Year of Hope
The Jubilee Year of Hope will officially begin in the Diocese of Gaylord on January 4, 2025 a St. Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Cathedral in Gaylord at 5 PM. In addition to this scheduled liturgy, Bishop Walsh has designated three pilgrimage sites in the Diocese of Gaylord where pilgrims can make a pious visit and receive the special Jubilee Year indulgence under the normal conditions:
- St. Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Cathedral, Gaylord
- Cross in the Woods National Shrine, Indian River
- Our Lady of the Woods Shrine, Mio

Stations of the Cross followed by Mass focused on repentance and Divine Mercy
April 6 at 11 am, St. Mary, Lake Leelanau
Mass focused on the beginning of Passiontide.
May 2-4, Our Lady of Champion, WI
“Walk to Mary” pilgrimage to only approved Marian apparition site in the U.S.
National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in the Green Bay, WI area with Bishop Walsh!
The Diocese of Gaylord is organizing a group travel bus to Our Lady of Champion, including the Walk to Mary on May 3, 2025.
Accommodations and costs: Transportation and Walk Fee $150 plus hotel $336 double occupancy
