This year’s conference: This Little Light of Mine: Shining Christ’s Light, Sunrise to Sunset will feature internationally renowned singer-songwriter Jesse Manibusan as our emcee and musician for the weekend. Jesse will also present a keynote address focusing on evangelization for all ages.

Jesse Manibusan announced as Keynote, Emcee
Internationally renowned singer-songwriter Jesse Manibusan has been confirmed as a Keynote Speaker, Emcee, and Musician for the 2018 Diocese of Gaylord Conference, This Little Light of Mine: Shining Christ’s Light, Sunrise to Sunset!
Jesse is known as a singer, songwriter, catechist, storyteller, humorist, and evangelizer. He is a familiar presence at national and diocesan conferences throughout the United States, including the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC), World Youth Day, and many others. Bringing his ministry to the faithful full time, Jesse travels the globe to present parish missions, concerts, retreats, keynotes and youth conferences.
Jesse holds a Master’s in Multicultural Ministries from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkely, California, and is the author of the beloved anthem “Open My Eyes,” from his third album, Power of Peace, which appears in Catholic and Protestant hymnals around the world and has been translated in to many languages. His latest collection, Sing of Mary, is a prayerful homage to the Mother of Jesus. Currently, Jesse resides in Daly City, California and is a volunteer at Good Shepherd Catholic School and Church.

Dr. Tim O’Malley Announced as Keynote, Will Lead Breakouts
Timothy O’Malley, Ph.D., has been confirmed as a Keynote Speaker and Breakout Presenter for the 2018 Diocesan Conference, This Little Light of Mine: Shining Christ’s Light, Sunrise to Sunset. Dr. O’Malley is a popular national speaker on many topics, including liturgy, culture, vocation, evangelization, and catechetics. He is currently the director of the Center for Liturgy for the University of Notre Dame, as well as the founding editor of the McGrath Institue’s Church Life Journal and the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Liturgy’s blog Oblation, and has been published in America Magazine and Our Sunday Visitor. Dr. O’Malley has also authored several books, including his most recent, Bored Again Catholic: How the Mass Could Save Your Life.
